A&M Manufacturing builds customized fiberglass vessels ranging from 32 to 67 feet in length. A&M’s in-house professionals engineer and build a wide variety of USCG-certified tour boats to meet a variety of customer needs. In business since 1995, A&M’s vessels are still working as marine construction work platforms, dive boats, restaurants, wedding venues, research vessels, sub tenders, party boats, tour vessels, cruise ship ferries, marine commercial applications (fishing/scalloping/crabbing/oyster farming, etc.)

USCG Inspectors

USCG inspectors from Section Jacksonville visit A&M’s factory weekly in Alachua, FL (210,000sq.ft. on 38 acres – the former Hunter Marine campus) ….working collaboratively with A&M’s staff to ensure regulatory compliance and that the highest safety standards are achieved.

A&M controls the entire production process to assure total quality control for all fiberglass, deck, railing, roof structure, seating, upholstery, electrical, sound, rigging components ….all the way to the dead weight survey being conducted in the mini-lake on A&M’s campus.

Given the very lengthy lead times at other USCG certified vessel manufacturers, A&M is in the process of opening up another production lane to double capacity from 1 certified boat/month to 2 certified boats/month.

That will drop current lead times from 12 months to 6 months.

A&M understands that businesses need more COI boats than ever, given the impact in Florida of CS/SB 606, and will continue to expand to provide capacity within a 6-12 month lead time horizon.
